Same Day Private Tour to Bishnupur

Bishnupur town located about 140 kms west of Kolkata is known for its rich cultural diversity. The word Bishnupur is derived from Vishnu, the Hindu god known for his invincible qualities. Temples in Bishnupur are dedicated to the lord Vishnu and his incarnations. Besides temples, Bishnupur is also famous for Baluchari Sarees. In contemporary times foreigners love Indian ethnic wear, if you love sarees, you can purchase one from here.

Our dedicated chauffeur will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the historic town of Bishnupur (4 hours drive on way). Here you would start the sightseeing on a cycle rickshaw and visit Radhamnabh temple, this beautiful temple was constructed by Shrimonadevi. From here we head towards Kalachand Temple. After this temple, we take you to Radha Govinda Temple.  There are no sculptures in this temple. From here, we head towards Nandalal Temple, this beautiful temple is known for paintings depicting lord Krishna’s life.

Now it’s time for lunch and we would take you to the Tourist Lodge for a hot Bengali Lunch. Post Lunch, you would continue to visit some of the most interesting sites including Rash Mancha, Jogesh Chandra Museum (Closed on Mondays), Jor Bangla Temple and Malla King’s Fort. Evening, drive back to Kolkata and you would be dropped at your hotel by a private car.
