Durgiana Temple Amritsar

The well known and mesmerizing Hindu Temple in Amritsar, Durgiana is approximately one and a half kilometres from the Golden Temple. This temple is the replica of Golden Temple, which is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga.

The prominent temple was constructed in the year 1908 by Harsai Mal Kapoor. The beautiful temple has the idols of Lord Hanuman, Mata Shitla, along with Lakshmi Narain.

Akal Takht

As the name suggests, the Akal Takht is the temple of Sikhs, which is constructed in the premise of the Golden Temple by Guru Hargobind Sahib. This was once used as the place of justice and for solving the temporal issues.

The Tarn Taran Gurudwara was built by Arjan Dev Ji, who was the fifth Sikh Guru. There is one belief for the place that it has Sarovar, which is believed to be the largest among all the Sikh Shrines.

Harike Wetland

Hari Ke Pattan also known as Harike Wetland is considered to be the largest wetland in northern India.
