Dal Lake, Srinagar>

Wular Lake, Kashmir
Wular Lake is considered as one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia and the largest one in India enclosed by gargantuan mountains.
That’s why the shore of the lake also offers some adventurous activities to explore the spectacular beauty of Kashmir like hiking, skiing, etc. Wular Lake is the residence of numerous species of fish and migratory birds.
Pangong TSo Lake, Ladakh
This magnificent azure lake is situated at the height of 4,350 meters from the sea level in the Himalayas. This 5 Km wide lake offers numerous panoramic glances to their visitors.
This place is so beautiful and romantic that you can devote all your day only to admire the beauty of the lake. The best time to visit the Pangong lake is between May and August.
Suraj Tal Lake, Lahaul Spiti
Suraj Tal is also known as the Lake of the Sun God, this 8 Km long lake is situated at the height of 4,890m surrounded by the Lahual & a Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh. The valleys on the bank of the lake are considered as the most visited destination for road trips, motorcycling, and trekking.
Upper Lake, Bhopal
This is one of the 10 most stunning lakes in India, also known as Bhojtal and considered as the Asia’s largest man-made lake. The Bhojtal offers numerous aqua activities like paddling, sailing, cruise, canoeing, etc. This ravishing lake was constructed by Paramara Raja Bhoj to cure his skin disease.
Chilika Lake, Orissa
This brackish water lake is considered as the Asia’s largest saltwater lagoon. The major attraction of the lake is migratory birds, and fishing boats. The best time to praise the panoramic beauty of the lake is between the months November to February.
Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim
Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, situated at an altitude of 17,800 ft. This dazzling lake is encircled by snow-capped mountains, there is a myth that the water of the lake has some miraculous powers.
Loktak Lake, Manipur
Loktak Lake is also named as floating lake due to its numerous small islands called phumdis. This lake is also used as the water source for the supply of water for irrigation, wildlife, and hydro power generation. The perfect time to visit Loktak Lake is between November to February.
Pichola Lake, Udaipur
This magnetizing lake of Udaipur is widely known for its picturesque glances. This artificial lake was constructed in the year 1362 AD by Banjara and recreated by Maharana Udai Singh. This amazing lake has two islands Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir, which has palaces to cherish the magnetizing view of the lake and the surroundings.
Vembanad Lake, Kerala
Vembanad Lake is in the list of 10 famous lakes in India. This lake offers water activities like fishing, houseboat cruise, etc to appreciate the allure of the place. One of the major attractions of the Vembanad lake is the snake boat race which is held every year in the month of August.
