History

Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore Fort was constructed in the 10th century by Chauhan kings, but the name of the king is still disputed. The fort has many ruined structures, palaces, Hammir’s Court, Phansi Ghar, step-wells, temples, houses, and the main attraction was Trinetra Ganesha Temple an oldest Ganesha Temple in Rajasthan built by Raja Hameer in 1300 AD.
According to the historic tale about the temple, Raja Hameer was the devotee of Lord Ganesha. During the protracted war between the Raja Hameer and Alauddin Khilji, Rahja Hameer was in trouble due to the war and the food stock which was getting over.
Then one night Lord Ganesha came in his dream and guarantee him to solve all his issues by tomorrow morning and next day king found the embossed idol of the Trinetra Lord Ganesha on fort wall, the war got over, and the godowns got filled again with food stock and other necessary items.
